“My work is really varied. Building our strong EFC brands involves all aspects of marketing: from developing effective online content, to working with designers in creating attractive Point of Sales and other promotional materials, and organizing our presence at events like Fruit Logistica and Fruit Attraction. Our brands are successful around the world, and my work is focused on increasing brand awareness to support our sales partners globally. I particularly enjoy putting my experience into practice, working closely with our huge network of partners to come up with and implement powerful international marketing campaigns.”
“Sharing my expertise and experience as a fruit consultant is both challenging and rewarding. I enjoy searching for new varieties and for ways to optimize the ones we have. Part of my job is to travel to our growers to follow up on the tests we do. I give them the technical support they need to grow a great product in their climate and growing conditions. Whether they are dealing with too much sun, too much rain, frost or drought. Together, we make sure they get the product they want and achieve a better financial return compared to other varieties.”
“The focus of my role as Coordinator New Fruit Varieties is to help maintain our leading position in managing successful apple and pear varieties. To achieve this, we have a global network of breeding stations that I visit in our search for new varieties. I also work closely with academic institutions and research stations. This collaboration enables us to carry out our own research and further develop a variety. This in turn helps us to improve our brands and realize further technical innovations. I also organize the tree production for our varieties, using the services of budwood repositories and nurseries. It’s incredible watching a new variety grow to become a global brand like KANZI®.”
